ShadowsocksR (or simply SSR) is an internet protocol used to hide online activity and access restricted or blocked content. SSR utilizes encryption technology to hide data sent and received via the internet, so as to avoid censorship or access restrictions by the government or agency responsible for the network. SSRS was developed as an extension of the original Shadowsocks protocol, with the addition of additional encryption features and support for several cryptographic algorithms.
